Opening of Nong Buak Haad Chiang Mai Flower Festival 2025
February 7
On February 7, 2025, Mr. Assanee Buranupakorn, Mayor of Chiang Mai Municipality, presided over the grand opening of Nong Buak Haad Public Park as part of the 48th Chiang Mai Flower Festival 2025.
The event, held in Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province, will take place from February 7 to 9, 2025, from 6:00 AM to midnight. This year, under the theme “Chiang Mai’s Floral Fantasy”, Chiang Mai Municipality has transformed the main event venue, Nong Buak Haad Public Park, into a breathtaking floral paradise. The park is adorned with a stunning array of winter blooms and tropical plants, featuring over one million flowers from more than 100 species-both local and imported. Visitors can marvel at vibrant and fragrant blossoms, including tulips, spray roses, lilies, hydrangeas, rhododendrons, and rare orchid species, beautifully arranged in flower fields, themed gardens, and floral arches. Adding to the magical atmosphere, the festival showcases over ten spectacular floral and light sculptures throughout the park. Highlights include an illuminated laser tunnel, creating a mesmerizing and interactive experience, as well as glow-in-the-dark body painting activities, live music in the garden, and a variety of engaging performances and events designed to delight visitors. On February 8, 2025, the festival will feature a magnificent floral parade, with 25 elaborately decorated floats adorned with exquisite flowers. The parade, joined by government and private sector organizations, will proceed from the front of the Chiang Mai Governor’s Residence to Nong Buak Haad Public Park, where the floats will remain on display until February 9, 2025. Visitors can experience the festival’s beauty both day and night, immersing themselves in a floral wonderland that embodies the rich cultural heritage of Chiang Mai. As one of Chiang Mai’s most celebrated Soft Power attractions, the Chiang Mai Flower Festival continues to captivate visitors from around the world, promoting tourism and boosting the local economy year after year.
