U.S. Consulate Networking Reception

A networking reception was held by the U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai to welcome Public Affairs Officer Ms. Ilona Aleksandrova. The reception was held at the Goodcery restaurant.
Prior to entering the Foreign Service, Ilona worked in the philanthropy sector in New York City, including as a management consultant to cultural and educational nonprofit organizations.
Ilona joined the Foreign Service in 2016 and served her first tour in Kingston, Jamaica as a Consular Officer. She later served as the Assistant Information Officer in Kyiv, Ukraine and, most recently, as the Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer in La Paz, Bolivia. She holds an M.A. in Art History from the City University of New York – Brooklyn College, and a B.A. in Political Science and Communications from the University of California, Berkeley. Ilona speaks Russian, Spanish, French and is learning Thai.
