British Council Family Fun Day
March 14
The British Council Chiang Mai celebrated the end of the Young Learners’ term with a “Family Fun Day” on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March 2015. Children and parents enjoyed a variety of fun English activities and were able to buy handicrafts made by children from Anusarnsunthorn school for the deaf. Parents also took part in an art auction of students’ paintings, enjoyed food, drinks and bakery from Goat Coffee and Crusty Loaf Bakery by U.N. Irish Pub, who donated the proceeds to the school for the deaf. Entertainment was provided in the form of live music and live water colour painting in the garden by Ma Lang Phu Group. Over 30,000 THB was raised through the activities, which was given to Ajarn Yupin Khampan, Director of Anusarnsunthorn school for the deaf by Michael Holmes, Centre Manager, British Council Chiang Mai on 23 March 2014. The weekend was also an occasion to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the British Council Chiang Mai and supported the British Council’s work in the area of EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion).
