The annual traditional Buddha Sihing bathing ritual

April 1

The annual traditional Buddha Sihing bathing ritual will be held at Wat Phra Singh, though the tradition this year will be starting at 7.30am on 1st April at Three Kings Monument. Between the 1st-12th April everyone is invited to pour water over a copy of the famed statue at Wat Phra Singh temple. The 13th will see the original statue paraded through the city and the 14th-15th all are invited to pour water on the original statue back at the temple. The statue returns to its home inside the temple on the 16th and a copy will be on display infront of the vihara until the end of the month.
