FABRIC+PAINT+STEEL

Three artists – Karen Sengel, Chris Ackerman, Mark Sengel – three different mediums.

This is our fifth collaborative show in Chiang Maiand we are delighted to be presenting our work here at Art Mai Gallery Nimman Hotel.

Karen Sengel has shown her beautiful art quilts in Bangkok, Tokyo, Muscat and Chiang Mai. Her subjects and inspirations reflect her years of living and working in Asia. More

Chris Ackerman returned to painting in retirement after a working life in the UK design business. Based in Somerset, England and involved in the local Arts Centre there she
returns to Chiang Mai each year for the light, warmth and colour of the vibrant arts community.

Mark Sengel started bending and welding steel together with found objects 10 years ago. His humour and use of curves was inspired by cartoonist Saul Steinberg and fashion illustrator Tobie Giddio.
