Sustainable Saturday Camp: Lanna Lanterns
February 1
Spend your Saturday making, moving and learning fun ways to integrate sustainability in your lifestyle.
It’s time to light up 2020 with some traditional Lanna Lanterns!
These lamps of the northern style carry the tradition of ancient design made entirely by hand. We use local Mulberry pressed paper to cover the bamboo forms piece by piece. This handmade work is also a kind of art because it must be done with elaborate detail and includes the decoration of various northern patterns that characterize Lanna style.
Our cooking class will focus on healthy granola baked with love.
In the afternoon we will have a special science and art workshop with Kru GeGee!
Children ages 3-10 are welcome to join these workshops. Weekend camp runs 10 am – 4 pm and is available by drop-in, half-day and full day rates.
