With temperatures soaring, we are all seeking escape from the searing heat and Jambolan Simply Stay is a wonderful new city escape that is a perfect stop to cool down whenever you are in the old town.
Set just behind Wat Duang Dee in the city centre, this charming resort and restaurant sits on over two rai of tree-covered land. Whether you are looking for a place to stay in the heart of Chiang Mai, or just a great spot to stop for lunch, a coffee or a long cool drink, Jambolan has it all.
They have twelve rooms and villas sprawled on their property, a Waa Organic Culture Area serving lovely organic food and drinks all day long, the Laan Jambolan under the grand Jambolan tree, where you can while away some hours with a cold beer or an iced tea, the Laan Rim Nam, next to the pond where you can relax, take a breath and enjoy the nature, as well as an indoor air conditioned area on the first floor of the wooden house to be used for events or special occasions.
Food at Jambolan focuses on the freshest, the best, the tastiest and the healthiest of ingredients and flavours, with free range eggs, healthy yogurts, fresh fruits and vegetables and plenty of healthy bites for quick meals.
Two intriguing orders we highly recommend are the salted watermelon and picketed guava smoothies, reflecting on some favourite Thai flavours normally consumed as refreshing snacks. There are also numerous aromatic blended teas from which to choose, all designed to cool you down in this heat.
Jambolan also offers up yoga classes every Wednesday for 200 baht per person starting at 4.30pm. You ca also enjoy some Indian head massages available for 999 baht between 11am and 7pm (closed on Tuesdays).
