Have you checked out Chang?

This adorable little Cantonese restaurant is hidden behind the little soi that connects Chang Moi to Tha Pae Roads, just near Tha Pae Gate. It sits along a row of other town houses, many of which are also being remodelled and revamped, making for a fun little soi to wander.

Chang serves authentic Cantonese food, created by a chef who has worked in a Michelin starred restaurant in Singapore. Yet, while flavours are true to the region, the chef puts a modern spin onto each dish, whether by presentation or reimagining.

A must try starter is the dim sum platter where four creative and frankly really pretty dim sums are offered up for a fun start of the dinner. The fried rice with double egg served in bamboo tube is also delicious as is the fried chicken with taro in summer sauce. There are many delightful dishes to try and while the restaurant doesn’t yet serve alcohol, you can bring your own and make a night of it.
