Jing Jai Village and Jing Jai Market have carved out their own unique spaces on either side of the busy Atsadathon Road, which leads out of the city towards Mae Rim from the South West moat corner. There are clusters of shops and restaurants, charming cafes and bustling bars as well as a variety of social meeting areas and exhibition spaces on premises.

It is a pleasure to wander up and down the little walkways which crisscross both Jing Jai Village and Jing Jai Market, as trees are beginning to mature into shade and zoned areas easily navigable.

Wander into Jing Jai Village and find a vast open aired hallway where there are often exhibitions and other activities being held. Stroll down green paths and breezy shop fronts, exploring any and all of the 80 shops and businesses in the area—anything from a ethnic crafts store to a vinyls shop. Unique local products and services jostle for space next to renown restaurant brands making it a really fun destination to simply wander and explore, popping in and out of various shops and discovering hidden and unique gems.

You can try out some unisex clothing at The Unknown Factory where goods are hand made and creators are local, get yourself a charming woven bag at Baanleklamai, put on a minimalist Japanese dress at Yogigohome, get your dream photo taken at Chic Wedding Studio, support young up and coming designers at creative Be Joyful, whimsical Murf or bohemian EveryWhereBoho or buy a cute hand-knitted googly-eyed doll at Peek Studio. You can even pop into Citylife Group’s office and say hi!

If you are looking for more than a shopping experience, while away an afternoon over a steaming cuppa at The Baristro or Roastniyom Coffee. The weather is also getting a tad warm, so why not seek out something cool, crunchy and sweetly refreshing at Ice Hub.

In the mood for some pampering? Check out Madame Skin and check in for some personal beauty time getting your nails painted, your eye lashes extended and your feet spoilt in a foot spa. Or you can visit Lanna Desia Hair Salon or Be Beauty Premium Hair Salon where professional hair stylists can help you to sport a new look or freshen up your current style. There is also the vintage and uber stylish Trust Barbershop for something a bit more classical and gentlemanly. And don’t forget to stop off at Greenheart to grab some healthy and wholesome products to take home with you.

If it is early in the morning, you can pop into Khao Tom Mathayom for breakfast or go to one of the best somtam spots on the city at Somtum House where you will be faced with a giddying choice of dozens of somtums from which to choose. Another popular lunch spot is the dim sum at Chun Dim Sum, where a procession of dim sums emerge in a steaming waft from the kitchen; all at very reasonable prices. And if you are a people watcher then why not just sit down to a steaming bowl of ramen by the side of the street at Ebisu Ramen? But if it is something more substantial you are looking for, then head to the Wani Yakiniku Japanese grill and eat to your heart’s—and stomach’s—content.

Have some out of town visitors or heading out of town yourself? Pop into the iconic Damrong Northern Thai food gifts shop and grab some pork crackling, nam prik num, sai-ua sausage or any number of well packaged northern delicacies to take with you.

The eastern side of the village is the adorable Box Journey where everything is environmentally sound and friendly, exercise equipment outlet Victor, skateboard shop Stamp Skate and many more interesting shops and outlets. And make sure to check out the dedicated graffiti zone where both local and international graffiti artists are invited to come show off their skills.

And to crown the cake with the perfect cherry, there is plenty of parking at Jing Jai Village, with attentive parking attendants and even a car washing service so your car doesn’t just sit idly by while you shop and eat!

With Jing Jai’s dedication to sustainability and the environment, the entire project recycles and Jing Jai’s management working along side all businesses to help them to become more sustainable and friendly towards the environment. With its own on-site plant, there is simply no excuse.

On Wednesday 19th March 2025 you are all invited to Jing Jai Village Open House between noon and 6pm. All 80 shops in Jing Jai Village will be open and there will be up to ten workshops on offer covering a range of activities. There will also be pop-up booths and a great variety of gifts and prizes to be won. Jing Jai Village also promises a surprise every hour!

Once 300 baht has been spent at the village, at any of the pop up shops or workshops, you can then go and play a game which may see you going home with great prizes.
