The monsoon rains are here and the season has changed. This means that our mountains and farms are brimming with fresh new produce, and Palette Restaurant’s chef has created a special six-course tasting menu for the occasion.
The first taste is the mood-setter, and the freshness and softness of the goat’s cheesecake topped with shallots jam, when paired with a chilled glass of wine, is the perfect amuse-bouche for the tasty bites to come.
Next, the chef serves up a creamy spinach soup, a hearty but delicate soup, perfect for a rainy day
This is followed by the tofu and mango salad where the sweet and refreshing flavours of the seasonal mango is enhanced by the bolder flavours of tamarind sauce.
An exotic jambulan sorbet cleanses the palate with its perfect balance of tartness and sweetness
before you are given a choice between two main courses; the salmon steak with Penang sauce or the lamb rack served with couscous.
End the meal with a lovely key lime pie, a classic and slightly tart pie served with coconut ice cream, crumble and red wine caviar.
Price 1,370++ baht per person for food only or 1,770++ baht including one glass of wine.
