Serving intriguing and award-winning Lanna fusion cuisine, this all day dining restaurant offers a little something for everyone, whether you are looking for a spot of breakfast, a mid-day coffee and cake break, a quick lunch, a lazy afternoon tea, a sumptuous dinner or just some drinks.
And if you have a sweet tooth, then you must check out the Cake Corner. Adorned with a profusion of aromatic bushes and vases of flowers of all colours and scents, the Cake Corner is all about indulgence.
They are currently serving up two afternoon tea set menus for you to choose from, the In Love with You (1,200 baht net) and the Love at First Sight (1,500 baht).
In Love with You
Whet your appetite with a mini charcoal chicken burger which goes surprisingly well with satay sauce. Or try the classic Royal Thai appetiser of minced pork wrapped in deep fried egg noodles with sweet plum sauce. The fascinating culinary journey that is Lanna fusion continues with the open face charcoal toast served with classic Northern Thai nam prik num, or young green chili paste, and grilled salmon. Elevate your eyes to the next tier and you will get to the sweet spots where raison scones are served with homemade jams and clotted cream. Then there is the passionfruit cheesecake, the carrot and pistachio cake, the green tea tiramisu, the Thai tea maccaron…and you can slay your guilt by finishing off with some fresh tropical fruits.
Love at First Sight
This set also has all sorts of sweet and savoury offerings from the classic Thai dishes, minced chicken and peanut dumpling topped with golden fried garlic oil, the smoked duck breast in lotus leaves with seasonal fruit dressing and the crispy prawn wrapped in rice vermicelli with sweet plum sauce. International representations are also offered such as the croissant sandwich with tuna slaw.
Then there are the desserts of chocolate fudge and glazed white chocolate almond and the delighted strawberry tart.
