Melia Chiang Mai on Charoenprathet Road is the talk of the town since its opening a few months ago. And while we are sure the accommodations are lovely, as locals, what excites us the most is their great new Spanish and Mediterranean breakfast buffet.
There is a special promotion on from now until the end of June, so now is the time to check them out.
Laan Na Kitchen’s executive chef scours Spain and the Mediterranean for inspiration, offering us a very generous breakfast buffet with treats never seen in Chiang Mai before.
It all starts with Spain’s famous jamon and assortment of cold cuts and cheeses which are served with fresh salads. Once the appetite has been whet then head to the egg station where you must try the MCM signature breakfast of tortilla Espanola, Spanish French toast served with real honey and shaksuka, the delicate steamed eggs, the popular Mediterranean egg dish.
Make sure you save room for the classic churros, freshly made, and served dipped in chocolate. There is, of course, a local Lanna food station for those who need some puncher Thai flavours with a revolving menu running the gamut of hung-le, khao soi and other popular dishes.
All of this for only 400 baht per person Mondays to Fridays between 6.30-10.30am
