Served at the hotel’s award winning Palette Restaurant, the 137 Pillars House Hotel’s afternoon tea is a delightful experience.

With winter winds soon to be sweeping through the city, while away an afternoon inside the elegant dining room of this very lovely hotel in Wat Gate.

From now until the end of January 2024, a resplendent afternoon tea set serves up an assortment of savoury delights. Bite into the delicate flakey strands of shrimp kataifi, a Thai spin on the classic Greek dessert, before popping a buttery vol au vent in your mouth. Take a few sips of tea then move onto the roasted baby potatoes crowned with bursts of caviar, or the delicate rich flavours of cheese choux. The open faced sandwich with smoked salmon and cream cheese completes the savoury set.

Those with sweet tooth will love the very special flavours of a longan and cranberry scone served with fresh clotted cream. Then there is the classic fruit cake as well as a perfect English trifle, served in the iconic tiers- in-a-glass. Chocolate lovers will get their fix with the rich flavours of the gooey truffle. For something a bit more refreshing, you also are served a mini strawberry shortcake and some fruit skewers.

This Wonder of Winter Afternoon Tea is served at Palatte Restaurant, at 137 Pillars House Hotel with unlimited coffees and teas and one glass of cocktail or mocktail for 700 baht per person+++ or 1,400+++ for two persons. To include two glasses of wine the price is 2,200+++ baht per couple and to include a bottle of champagne the price is 6,400+++ per couple.
