A wonderful day of entertainment at the Citylife Garden Fair at Boonthavorn, Saturday 23 November 2024

The Citylife Garden Fair offers a full day of entertainment on the main stage. It provides an opportunity for Chiang Mai musicians to showcase their talents to an audience that might not be familiar with their music, while also creating a vibrant musical backdrop for the day.

The schedule is displayed on the right, with timings subject to change. The event kicks off at 11:45 AM with performances by three of Chiang Mai’s schools.

SBS International School has the honor of opening the performances with a dance show at 11:45 AM. The Ambassador Education Group will follow at 12:10 PM with a musical performance, and Singapore International School will conclude the schools’ segment with a Guzheng performance and dance. It’s always inspiring to witness the young artistic talent thriving in Chiang Mai.

Next, Austin Hughes, a local singer-songwriter, will kick off the “grown-up” performances with a selection of his original songs—a perfect way to start the afternoon, perhaps accompanied by lunch near the stage

Maintaining the relaxed afternoon vibe, The Stolen Moment will take the stage at 2:00 PM, presenting a selection of jazz. This genre is immensely popular in Chiang Mai, supported by a vibrant community of musicians and venues that cater to those who appreciate music that is laid-back, creative, and cool.

At 3:00 PM, the charity auction will be held on the main stage. With contributions from both businesses and individuals, this year’s proceeds will go toward flood relief efforts as Chiang Mai continues to recover from the recent disaster that impacted the city.

Following the auction at 4:00 PM, we’ll gradually pick up the tempo as we transition into the evening, but in a measured way. Hot Topic will take the stage with a lively set of tunes guaranteed to get our feet tapping, our hands clapping, and maybe even a few of us singing along.

At 5:00 PM, the Candle Band will delight us with a selection of familiar pop songs, possibly inspiring a dance or two. If you’ve seen this band perform around town, you already know how talented these musicians are.

Terror Terror takes the stage at 6:15 PM. This completely original band stands out with the unique distinction of featuring two drummers—delivering a rhythm-packed experience. Their music is fresh, exciting, and definitely worth hearing—or dancing to, for that matter.

AfterCrush takes the stage at 7:15 PM, bringing their signature dreamy, original music. A regular feature at recent Garden Fairs, they’re always a crowd favorite. Focused primarily on festivals, we’re delighted to have them join us once again.

We’ll close the day with Northern Thai Rock, taking the stage at 8:15 PM. As one of the best party bands around, they’ll deliver a high-energy set of rock and pop classics, providing the perfect finale to the day’s performances.

A heartfelt thanks to all the artists for their incredible performances and support of the Citylife Garden Fair
