Citylife Garden Fair to donate towards Chiang Mai’s flood victims

By | Tue 19 Nov 2024

This year, Citylife Garden Fair at Boontawarn, in its 17th year, will be donating all proceeds it raises from auctions and any other means—we really hope that everyone who attends consider donating 20 baht or more towards our cause— towards the Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative, set up and registered four years ago by independent businesses across Chiang Mai. This year, the group will be working directly with Boonthavorn who has pledged to donate goods from its stores, from tiles to plumbing; bedding to construction materials, to help rebuild 20 houses belonging to people who may fall between the cracks of government support. In order to identify these 20- households, we are working directly with the government agency, the Chiang Mai Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office, who will help direct us to those most in need—which will likely be homes of undocumented elderly or handicapped residents.

Every baht we raise from your purchase of a ticket or bidding of an auction item will go 100% and directly towards the immediate recostruction of these houses.

We will be making an announcement after the fair as a call for help should any volunteers wish to donate their time by helping to rebuild these homes. The rebuild will commence on the 1st of December and will take as long as it takes to complete 20 new homes for those most in need.

Please please consider donating towards this incredible cause. We will also appreciate any businesses who wish to donate goods or vouchers to please contact us at Ja@chiangmaicitylife.com and do so. Thank you.
