Oooh here is another great destination for the coming cool months. Imagine sitting by the side of the Ping, cool winter breeze in your hair, a steaming hot cup of coffee in hand, and a mouthful of buttery croissant.
Samsen Villa’s Bake Republic has just opened and joined the croissant bandwagon, which is still going strong since the craze overtook Chiang Mai over the pandemic.
Classical French croissants are baked daily and come in a variety of exciting and exotic options from banana chocolate to carbonara, German sausage to Nutella chocolate – whether you like savory or sweet, there will be a croissant for you.
Only the brave, however, will go for the durian croissant…we were leery, but once we tried it, we were sold. The aromas are not overwhelming while being richly infused with durian.
There drinks are also above and beyond, with fancy sips such as rose latte, rose matcha latte or more normal ones if you are just looking for a cuppa.
