If you love nature you will adore Chiang Mai outdoor life. Areas of outstanding natural beauty are all around, from forested mountains and hills, flowing rivers, plunging waterfalls and much else besides. Chiang Mai province is also home to 13 national parks with much for both resident and visitor to explore.
For visitors in the city for a short time, many tour companies offer nature, trekking and other tours. Often with all kinds of adventures thrown in.
For the resident, there are plenty of perfect weekending spots with plentiful small hotels, guest houses and camping grounds to allow you a break from city life (see what we did there?).
If you love the outdoor life, there is plenty in Chiang Mai for you to appreciate.
