The Royal Chiang Mai Golf Club
Located 40 minutes from Chiang Mai, the Royal Chiang Mai Golf Club opened in 1996 and is perfectly designed for beginners and experienced players. Designed by Peter Thompson, it has led the way for the current group of modern golf courses in the northern area of Thailand.

Chiang Mai Inthanon Golf Club
Opened in 2009 and designed by Supachai Silamom, the Inthanon Golf Club offers golfers as its name suggests — tremendous sightlines of Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest mountain.
It’s located about an hour drive from Chiang Mai on the route out to Doi Inthanon.

Mae Jo Golf Club
Designed by well-known Thai architect Seni Thirawat, Maejo Golf Club is renowned for its subtly sloping greens. The par 72 course, at 6,730 yards, is shorter than many in northern Thailand but that does not mean it doesn’t offer surprises or challenges. The course is surrounded by fruit trees, the caddies are excellent on recommending what tastes good and when.

The Summit Green Valley Golf Club
Located about 20 minutes from Chiang Mai, the Summit Green Valley course offers participants a chance to play while surrounded by numerous palm trees. The beautifully kept fairways and greens offer a spectacular view of the mountains beyond.

The Gassan Legacy Golf Club
You’ll have to drive a bit to get to this course which was completely renovated in 2013 and re-opened a year later. Marked by gently rolling fairways and not a great deal of fluctuating terrain, the biggest challenge at Gassan Legacy would definitely be the water hazards.

Chiang Mai Highlands Golf Course
Opened in 2005 and considered one of the top golf courses in Chiang Mai and Thailand, this beautifully designed course can be reached in just 30 minutes from within city limits. The Highlands began as an 18-hole golf course, but an additional nine holes were added. It continues to improve and expand.
