Most Padabyod Plays for City Hong Kong RFC

One of the first Thai players to play for the Chiang Mai Cobras , Most Padabyod , has been a rising star in the Thai Rugby scene, for quite a while now. He is a vital member of the Royal Thai Airforce side, that is one of the top sides in the kingdom at the moment. He is also a regular starter at scrum half, for the Thai national 15s & 7 a side teams.

Most’s dream, has always been to play rugby abroad, and through the Cobras Player Pathway Initiative, that dream has now been fulfilled. Our connection with the City Rugby Club in Hong Kong, enables our Thai players to go, train & play with like-minded people, in an environment, that is one of the biggest rugby playing destinations, in Asia.

There is no doubt that Most will benefit from his short stay in Hong Kong, along with the sides he represents back home, here in Thailand. With Most having transferred back to RTAF Wing 41 in Chiang Mai, he will be seen plying his trade in Cobras colours, in upcoming tournaments.

We are grateful for the opportunities and hospitality, that the City Rugby Club has shown to our players, and we look forward to returning that during 2025, when we hope to host City Rugby Club players here in Chiang Mai.

Cobras chairman Dave McRitchie had this to say “We are very fortunate to be able to send Most to play with Hong Kong City Rugby Club. Most, is a very talented played who strongly desires to play overseas. We are optimistic that his skills will be showcased in his Hong Kong adventure and that he will represent the Cobras & Thailand Rugby well”

The next Cobras Player Pathway Initiative is to follow up on Pudis Sangsawan’s succseful spell in Australia, with Josh Lim, due to travel to play with Kempsey Cannonballs in the upcoming season. We have set up a https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-josh-play-rugby-in-australia to help facilitate Josh’s trip.
