CityNews – A 72 year old man has achieved his 100th Doi Inthanon cycle ride.
Lersak Inchai, a 72 year old man and a former cyclist for Thailand’s national cycling team, has been marked as the first person ever to achieve 100 cycling round trips to Doi Inthanon mountain top. His 100th trip took date on June 10th and was joined by over 40 cyclists both Thais and foreigners, who all faced the wet and cold weather The rain continued along the whole trip and temperature was recorded at the mountain top at a mere 10 degree Celcius.
The Superintendent of Doi Inthanon National Park joined in the celebration of Lersak’s achievement and awarded him with a certificate.
Lersak later posted on Facebook expressing his feeling and gratitude,”the the 100th trip has ended with the most suffering weather ever. [Laugh]. Thank you over 40 brave people who have given up their time and joined in this trip, facing this harsh weather with me. And it would be my great honour if my experience from this trip can be used in your own lives and attitudes in the future.”
