CityNews – A nearly extinct plant was found on Doi Inthanon National Park.
Local guide, Surasith Donjaipraiwan and researchers have encountered a rare plant in Ban Phamon, Doi Inthanon National Park. Sapria himalayana is a sensitive parasitic plant that is at the brink of extinction due to incessant human interventions in the natural forest environment, according to research. It can be possibly be found in tropical rain forests from northern to southern parts of Thailand along Thanon Thong Chai mountain range and Tanaosri mountain range.
